Judd Racing– we’ve all heard of them, we’ve all bought from them. They are the main supplier of KTM parts for 50cc bikes through to 125cc as well as a large distributor of Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha parts.Judd Racing

The main question they ask: Are you Judd enough? Well they think Nitro Neo is, and they have asked him to be their auto sponsored rider for the 2015 season!!

Everyone in the MX game will know this is a big deal, Judd are major motocross players and only ask the best of the best to be their sponsored rider. The deal will see Neo compete against the fastest boys and girls in the country in the 2015 GT cup, as well as regional Club Championships, where he will compete against 6 to 9 year olds on 50cc race tuned bikes. Neo is also registered for the 2015 Hardcore Racing MX Master Kids UK, as well as venturing across the channel into mainland Europe for some track time.

When Nitro was told of this amazing news, he was extremely proud as all the young athletes know Judd are a prestigious company in the world of motocross. Neo can’t wait to jump on his bike sporting the 2015 Judd Racing stealth edition graphics and show Judd his best racing skills.

IMG_0285Judd Racing Director Michelle Arnold said:

We’re very pleased to be sponsoring Nitro Neo for the 2015 Season.  He’s a rider who’s not only local to us, but who’s charity work and local accolades symbolise everything that Judd Racing as the UK’s Youth Motocross Specialists care about.

Kayleigh Hellewell, Media & Communications Manager for Team Nitro added:

This is a partnership we’re so pleased to have, we know that the team at Judd are great at what they do; they are extremely helpful and knowledgable, and in return we know that Nitro Neo can use their parts to the full potential they’d like to see.  The announcement is a great end to the racing season and we can’t wait to work with Judd next year.

Here is the final round of 2014 Red Bull X-Fighters, my favourite tricks are the California roll, double back flip, Tsunami 540 flair, superman seat grab, the volt and the special flip

The 14th Red Bull X-Fighters season went out with a roar on at the first-ever World Tour final held in Africa. In a no-holds-barred battle, Australia’s Josh Sheehan was unstoppable, winning the event and his first Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour title in front of a sold out crowd of 22,000 frantic fans.

When the first ever Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour final on African soil went down on Saturday, Australia’s Josh Sheehan would not be denied. The 28-year-old dominated the competition, winning every heat by unanimous decision to earn his first championship in the world’s most prestigious freestyle motocross series. Spain’s Dany Torres finished strong in second for the day, with Adam Jones from the United States earning his first podium of the season in third.

Sheehan has been charging in recent events, making determined progress against his rival from Down Under, New Zealand’s Levi Sherwood. After winning the first two events of 2014, Sherwood had clutched the top of the World Tour leaderboard all season long. When an ankle injury sustained in Qualifying yesterday prevented Sherwood from moving beyond the first round of the Final, Sheehan could have taken it easy. But he gave everything he had, defeating every opponent, including a spectacular Torres, with electrifying tricks like the double backflip and the Flair.

When the final World Tour standings were tallied, it was an emotional Sheehan in first, Sherwood in second, and Torres in third. Each now has one World Tour title under his belt. At the 50th Red Bull X-Fighters contest ever, the atmosphere was wild in the sold-out stands at Pretoria’s historic Union Buildings, as 22,000 fans thrilled to a sport that many were seeing live for the first time.
“I’ve been wanting this for years, and it’s a dream come true. I’m on top of the world.” said an overwhelmed Sheehan.

Bringing you up to speed on this weekends X-Fighters Final

Tomorrow, Saturday 23 August, will see one freestyle motocross rider (FMX) crowned the 2014 Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour Champion and only five points separate the two men at the top of the leader board, Levi Sherwood and Josh Sheehan.  Red Bull X-Fighters sees fierce rivalries every season, but this year the intensity seems more insane than ever as the competition heads into its first-ever season final on the African continent.

Saturday’s action at the Union Buildings in Pretoria will determine the 2014 Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour Champion. For the riders, it’s the culmination of a year’s worth of work, innovation, hopes and dreams. But when the season started, few would have predicted that two men from Down Under would be battling it out for top honors.

The standings
This week, as the World Tour final comes to Africa for the first time, New Zealand’s Levi Sherwood stands in the lead with 265 points, and Australia’s Josh Sheehan is a hair’s breadth away with 260. Anything can happen in the world’s most prestigious freestyle event series. However, with the closest contenders – former champions Thomas Pagès of France and Dany Torres of Spain – 70 points and more behind, chances are that when the red dust settles on Saturday, either Sherwood or Sheehan will be on top of the World Tour podium.

The stakes
For Sherwood, the 2012 champion, taking the title would elevate him – at age 22 – to one of the all-time greats. The Kiwi already has the most Red Bull X-Fighters event wins in history (eight) and claiming a second championship would put him in the elite company of Nate Adams, the only rider to have won the World Tour twice (2009, 2010).

What’s on the line for 28-year-old Sheehan is the potential for his first-ever Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour title, something only seven other riders have ever claimed.

The seasonScreen Shot 2014-08-22 at 12.09.10
Sherwood and Sheehan have a lot in common, including their extraordinary talent and, of course, their determination to claim the title on August 23. They also shared a lackluster year in 2013, when Pagès dazzled the judges with innovative tricks. But this season has been a different story. Pagès has been on-again, off-again, while Sherwood, a classic perfectionist, found a renewed joy in his riding, winning the first two 2014 events back to back.

And Sheehan, known as one of the hardest workers in the field, has finally come out of Sherwood’s shadow to chip away at his rival’s lead. Every time Sheehan has pulled out his mind-bending double backflip this year, he’s come out ahead of Sherwood, including the previous stop at Munich last month, where the Aussie stood on top of the podium. “It’s been cool to go up against Josh this year – it’s been a real challenge,” Sherwood states.

Sheehan meanwhile, comments, “If Levi rides smooth and effortless that gets rewarded more, so I almost need the double flip along with all the best tricks I’ve got to beat him.”

The track
In the last 2 weeks the track designers have created – with the classic red African soil – another masterpiece in front of the Union Buildings. The track in Pretoria is the biggest track with the most options this season, the riders will find an FMX playground that will offer more lines than any other track this year. Here is a video and some quick facts about it: 600 truck loads of dirt / 11.000 square meters / 5 Ramp Jumps / 3 Dirt-to-Dirt Jumps / 2 Quarter Pipes / 15+ total jump options.
Now hit play to see how this huge track was created.

While the momentum may seem to be in Sheehan’s favor, the results when Red Bull X-Fighters celebrates its 50th event on Saturday are anyone’s guess. First, there’s the altitude in Pretoria: at over 1,300 meters (4,300 feet), it’s unsure whether the riders’ bikes will be able to suck in enough air to power massive tricks like Sheehan’s double backflip.

After a track at a bullring in Madrid and a slopestyle course over water in Munich, Pretoria serves up the largest track of the season, with the most lines and options to choose from. Sherwood, who is renowned for his flow and finds it harder to differentiate his runs from the other riders on small courses, “can’t wait” for the freedom of a bigger playground.

He goes on, “If I go out there and give it everything I have and Sheeny does the same, then whoever wins deserves it.”

2014 Red Bull X-Fighters – Rnd1 Mexico City, Mexico 14 March

Don’t forget you can register on my blog so you never miss a show.  Click on ‘follow’ at the bottom of the page and you will receive an email each time I upload one of the X-Fighter shows so you can watch it whenever you like.  I’ll also send you a link so you can watch the shows LIVE.

What can we expect from Mexico?  The traditional season opener in Mexico City has been a staple of the Red Bull X-Fighters calendar from 2005 to 2010 – but after a two-year break – the Mexican capital made it back on the tour schedule in 2013 and will kick off the season one more time in 2014. With its delighted fans and the most famous bullring in the world, the city offers a stunning backdrop and is the perfect venue for the Red Bull X-Fighters spectacle.

Each year, the Monumental Plaza de Toros is completely filled and the FMX daredevils execute their tricks in front of 38,000 screaming fans, to the sound of huge drums and the traditional white cloths – made popular by the fans at football games and bullfights. In fact, the bullfighting element is an integral life component in Mexico. Its complicated rules and regulations contain a whole series of hidden symbols whose meanings go far beyond that of a mere battle of man against animal.
